KIDVILLE HOSTS AUTISM AWARENESS EVENT APRIL 21

Las Vegas, NV  In observance of national Autism Awareness Month, Kidville will partner with widely known Autism advocate and author, Meredith Toddre, for an educational Q & A session on April 21 at 3 p.m. As an added bonus, parents and children will have the opportunity to sit in on a special performance of Kidvilles signature class  Rockin Railroad.

This inaugural event is an opportunity for families of Southern Nevada to get together, share stories, ask questions and show support for Autism and Autism research in the community. Recognized as a leader in her field and co-founder of the Autism Coalition of Nevada, Toddre will read excerpts of her soon-to-be-published book, The ABCs of Autism, and be on-hand for a Q & A session.  Toddre is parent to two children diagnosed with Autism and has a wealth of first-hand information to share.

I am very excited to share my experiences, trials and triumphs with other parents who may have children with special needs and am thankful to Kidville for welcoming me and creating awareness about Autism, said Toddre.

Kidville specializes in early childhood development classes for children newborn to six years. One of Kidvilles most acclaimed classes, Rockin Railroad, where a rockin crew and conductor take children on a journey through tempo, rhythm, and sound identification can, according to Toddre, provide a therapeutic outlet for children on the Autism spectrum.

The Rockin Railroad class will be so fun for the kids.  As youll learn, music and singing grants caregivers access into areas of the brain that allow our children with Autism an immediate outlet for expression and connection with their surroundings, notes Toddre.

As an extension of Kidvilles support of Autism awareness, a portion of the store proceeds, purchased during April 23  29, will be donated directly to the non-profit organization, Autism Coalition of Nevada.

The Q & A will run 3 p.m.   4 p.m., followed by the Rockin Railroad concert from 4  p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. Space is limited so RSVPs are encouraged. Please RSVP to rsvptivoli@kidville.com or 702-233-9253.
