Sherri McKenzie Sherri McKenzie - President
Century Link

Sherri joined the NevadaGIVES Board in 2007. She also volunteers her leadership by serving on the board of Community Outreach Development, and participates on several committees for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. She is actively involved in the promotion of the Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, working to share the great legacy of defense activities at the Nevada Test Site. In the past, she has served as president of Community Outreach Helping Others for Community Lutheran Church, and board member for Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas. McKenzie is a proud graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas class of 2007, known affectionately as the “Most Dangerous Class.”

Stacey has served on the NevadaGIVES Board since 2007 and has a long history in philanthropy and community service in southern Nevada. Stacey is actively involved in a number of professional and community organizations, including serving as President’s Advisory Council member of the Las Vegas Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as well as past president of the AFP-Las Vegas Chapter, DJs for PJs Executive Committee member, mentor and patient advocate for newly diagnosed diabetics at St. Rose Hospital-Siena Campus, Leadership Las Vegas Committee Member for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, and Advisory Board Member of the UNLV Honors College. She is also a proud graduate of the Leadership Las Vegas Class of 2003.

Jane Jensen SaintJane Jensen Saint - Secretary
Project REAL
Jane joined the NevadaGIVES board in 2009. Her professional leadership as Executive Director of Project REAL demonstrates her commitment and passion for philanthropy. Her community involvement also includes Las Vegas Valley Senior Friends, Help of Southern Nevada, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada, "I Have a Dream" Foundation and United Way of Southern Nevada. Jane is actively involved with the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce and is a proud graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, Class of 2007.

Carolyn GlaserCarolyn Glaser - Treasurer
Community Leader

Carolyn, an active Board Member for NevadaGIVES, most recently served as board president of the Assistance League of Las Vegas, a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that implements philanthropic programs in the community. In her position, Carolyn was responsible for overseeing the business operation, fundraising and member/volunteer management of the organization. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Redlands and pursued Accounting from Arizona State University.

City of Las Vegas
Brian is actively engaged in the Southern Nevada Community through his professional career working in the City of Las Vegas Manager's Office in which he serves as a liaison with the non-profit and education community.  Brian also focuses personal time on supporting volunteerism and philanthropy efforts in Southern Nevada through such projects as Nevada's Big Give and community building projects with employees of the City of Las Vegas.  Brian is a graduate of the University of Southern California's MPA program and also holds a Masters Degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Educational Leadership.  Brian joined the NevadaGIVES board in 2012. 

Liz VohwinkelElizabeth Vohwinkel - Board Member
Philanthropic Advisor

Elizabeth was born in Southern California and moved from Oregon to Las Vegas in 1994.  She began her career in the hospitality industry at The Venetian Hotel, followed by Caring Nurses Home Care and recently served as Administrator and Marketing Director for a Nevada law firm.  Currently, Elizabeth serves as a Philanthropic Advisor for the non-profit community in Southern Nevada. Elizabeth has a passion for volunteerism as demonstrated in her involvement with many local charitable organizations. Elizabeth joined the NevadaGIVES board in 2012.

 

 

Executive Administrator/Consultant


Debbie DevaldDebbie Devald
In her current role as Executive Administrator, Debbie provides project coordination, executive assistance and support to NevadaGIVES. Debbie has demonstrated her passion for philanthropy through her work in the nonprofit community for more than 20 years. Her past involvement includes the Nevada Community Foundation, Business Community Investment Council, Executive Director of the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Debbie relocated to Las Vegas, NV from Buffalo, NY in 1975
