Building hope for Southern Nevada's homeless

What: Come out to Town Square the entire month of March, enjoy the weather, and spend $5 for a chance to win a custom-build playhouse! The $5 will also help create awareness and build shelter for the homeless in your Southern Nevada community. HomeAid Southern Nevada is hosting Project Playhouse from February 25 through March 27. Town Square is turning Children's Park into a cul-de-sac with 3 custom playhouses built and donated by Pardee Homes, Sunrise Carpentry, The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, Carpenter Sellers Architects & Cox Management. This mini-community in Town Square will be busy selling $5 raffle tickets daily from 11AM-9PM; hosting weekly at-risk elementary school field trips; hosting weekend entertainment; and culminating with a Raffle Celebration on Saturday, March 27 at 4PM when the magical drawing will take place and 3 lucky winners will be announced! With over 13,000 homeless on any given night in Southern Nevada, the need for shelter beds and maintenance of shelters is imperative. HomeAid partners with homeless service providers and the building industry to construct, refurbish and maintain housing for homeless families and individuals. The proceeds from Project Playhouse 2010 will directly benefit homeless service providers such as Boys Town, Catholic Worker, Family Promise and Women’s Development Center.
