Give Your Time and Talent - Volunteer
America has a proud tradition of neighbor helping neighbor and today this volunteer spirit is more important than ever
before. There are needs in our communities that volunteers are uniquely able to address. For example, volunteers mentor millions
of children at risk of not reaching productive adulthood; serve food to families who seek hunger relief; and help care for
homebound seniors.
By helping others, we also build our own characters. Through volunteer service we connect to a need or purpose much greater
than our own comfort.
Nonprofit organizations in southern Nevada are in great need of capable, committed volunteers. Volunteering is a great
way for you to contribute your unique skills to benefit your community. Becoming involved as a volunteer is a great way to
get to know more about the programs of a nonprofit in order to decide if you want to donate funds.
Resources and information are available to support and encourage volunteerism within all sectors of our community. If you
